SciFinder Web

Create an Account

New users must register for a SciFinder account.  This requires a MSU Network username and password, a MSU email account [such as "jstudent@murraystate.edu"], and is limited to current MSU students, faculty, and staff. Contact Candace Vance at cvance4@murraystate.edu for registration information. Please place “SciFinder Access” in the subject line of the email and include your name, email address and university status (undergrad student, grad student, staff, faculty)in the email.

What is SciFinder Web?

SciFinder Web is the web version of SciFinder, and provides access to the CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) database through a browser.

Technical Requirements:

1. Web browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 or higher; or Mozilla Firefox, version 2.0 or higher.
2. Javascript, JAVA, and cookies must be enabled.
3. JAVA runtime environment (JRE) 6.0 is needed for structure drawing.
