Scope and Content: Collection consists of a photocopied letter from J. H. Long to W. R. McFarland from Columbus, Kentucky on February 8, 1862. The letter mentions the fall of Fort Donelson and the bridge over the Tennessee River being burnt by Union troops. Long also accepts McFarland’s offer to send provisions to Columbus.
