Biographical / Historical Information: Eddyville, Kentucky was originally settled around 1798 and the following year became the county seat for Livingston County. It later became the county seat for Caldwell County in 1809 and Lyon County in 1854. The Eddyville post office opened in 1801. 

Scope and Content: Collection consists of a framed hand drawn plat of the town of Eddyville, Kentucky dated November 21, 1800.
