Biographical / Historical Information: The 15th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment was stationed at Paducah, Smithland and Fort Heiman, Kentucky from October 6, 1862 to October 6, 1863.
Scope and Content: Collection consists of an order issued by Captain Benjamin F. Rice, Provost Marshal at Fort Heiman, Kentucky, to Captain Samuel M. Purcell of the 15th Kentucky Cavalry Regiment relieving Private William H. Marion from duty as provost guard on July 4, 1863.
