Biographical / Historical Information: Camp Murray was a Union Army encampment near George’s Creek in Lawrence County, Kentucky. The headquarters of the Advance Army of Kentucky under Brigadier General Stephen B. Burbridge was stationed at the camp in the fall of 1862.

Scope and Content: Collection consists of General Order No. 7 issued by Brigadier General Stephen B. Burbridge, commander of the Advance Army of Kentucky, at Camp Murray in Lawrence County, Kentucky on October 26, 1862. The order rescinds General Order No. 4 defining the time orderlies were to report for duty.
