Biographical / Historical Information: The Purchase Area Development District is a partnership organization that offers support to city and county governments of the Jackson Purchase of Western Kentucky. The organization was established in 1969 to assist in planning, coordinating and implementing of services provided through federal state and local funding sources. 

Scope and Content: Collection consists of annual reports and newsletters published by the Purchase Area Development District from 1973 to the present.
