Biographical / Historical Information: The New Providence Primitive Baptist Church was established in 1834 and located in the rural community of New Providence in Calloway County, Kentucky. The congregation met every third Sunday for many years, but as membership declined in 1990s they gathered only on the fifth Sunday. The church held its last service on November 30, 1997 with only two members present.

Scope and Content: Collection consists of handwritten minutes of meetings held by the New Providence Primitive Baptist Church of New Providence, Kentucky from 1834 to 1997. Included with the minutes are a few other church records and correspondence.
