Abstract: Howard Colston discusses his recollections as a member of the Ferguson Springs Baptist Church at Benton, Kentucky. He recalls his baptism, tent revivals, business meetings, styles of preaching and other church activities. He also offers a visual description of the church, the church ministers and interesting members of the congregation.

Biographical / Historical note: Howard Colston was born in the Land Between the Lakes region of Kentucky. He resided, except for a brief period of time when he worked elsewhere, in the area until the Tennessee Valley Authority purchased his property. He was a lifelong member of the Ferguson Springs Baptist Church.
