Abstract: O. R. McElroy discusses playing football during the 1920s at Morganfield High School, Morganfield, Kentucky, under the coach Earl C. Clements. Clements later became a prominent politician serving as governor of Kentucky and as a United States Senator.
Biographical / Historical note: O. R. McElroy was born about 1906. He attended Morganfield High School in the mid-1920s where he played football under Earl C. Clements.
