Historical Information: The Office of the President at Murray State University was established soon after the Murray State Normal School was founded in 1923.
Scope and Content: Collections consists of financial records and reports created by the Business Manager of Murray State University and sent to the Office of the President from 1924 to 1985. The records contain annual financial statements, budget reports, cash receipt statements, financial transactions and other general business records. Included with the records are Moody's Investor Service bond reports from 1943 to 1960. Items of significance include financial records from the Great Depression, World War II and Post-War eras.
