Historical Information: The Music Department was established as a division of the Fine Arts Department in the fall of 1923. In 1970, the Music Division became a department within the School of Fine Arts. The department is presently in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
Scope and Content: Collection consists of newspaper clippings, press releases, brochures and other printed materials related to the history of the Music Department of Murray State University from 1950 to 2009.
