Historical Information: Campus Lights began as a musical variety show in 1938 by students who wished to raise funds to charter a chapter of Phi Mu Sigma at Murray State Normal School (presently Murray State University). The event occurs every February and is been sponsored annually by the Music Department and the two campus music fraternities of Phi Mu Alpha and Sigma Alpha Iota.
Scope and Content: Collection consists of Campus Lights programs printed by the Music Department of Murray State University from 1938 to the present. Included with the programs are ephemera and newspaper clippings describing the activities and events associated with the Campus Lights musicals.
