Historical Information: The Murray State Item was first published in September of 1976 with the primary purpose of keeping the Murray State University alumni informed on activities and events occurring on the Murray State campus. The newspaper was sent to all Murray State alumni. Increased publication costs eventually led to its termination in the fall of 1977.
