Music - Racers Library Tutorial

Google Scholar

You can also search for articles that the library has through Google Scholar, but there are a few things you need to do in order to accomplish this.

When you go to Google Scholar, the first thing you will need to do is set Google Scholar to associate you with MSU Libraries. To do this go to the hamburger at the top left of the screen as shown below.

Then select settings.

Then select library links.

Then search for "Murray State University" in the search box and check any of the unchecked boxes that appear below and click save.

Now perform a search using the keywords that you have identified for your topic. Once you have searched and are looking at the result list and you see an article that looks like it might be of interest, look to the right of the title for either a PDF link, "View it @ MSU", or "Full text @EbscoHost" link and click on it. This should either take you to the full text directly, take you to a page with a link to the full text, or provide a link to Interlibrary Loan the article. All of which will get you the full text.

Sometimes you may not see the links above to the right. If you don't look for the double arrows below the article and click on them. When you click on that double arrow it should then show you the "View it @ MSU" link or the "Full text @ EbscoHost" link.
