Computer Lab

Computer labs are available on the main floor and upper level of Waterfield Library.
Faculty can log into any computer using their Murray State NetID and password.
 

Databases

Murray State University provides access to a variety of research databases to help users find scholarly sources and other electronic materials.

Library Instruction Sessions

Research & Instruction Librarians may be available to provide an instruction session for your course.
Common requested topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Using the library catalog and website
  • Boolean Operators
  • Finding Scholarly Sources
  • Finding Primary Sources
  • Using specialized databases

Makerspace

Using the Makerspace

GSP students and faculty who wants to create for educational purposes are eligible to use the Makerspace. This may include models for an assignment, research instruments, prototypes of a theoretical design, original arts pieces, or personal learning.

Accessing the Makerspace

Users must be certified to use some specific pieces of equipment in the Makerspace, including individual certification for the laser cutters, FDM style 3D printers, LCD style 3D resin printers, the sound room, 3D scanner, latex printer, and cameras. Some equipment can be reserved ahead of time and the remainder is first-come-first-served. Smaller items will be checked out for internal use inside the Makerspace or library.
