Pogue Library's main focus is the Purchase Area of Kentucky which encompasses Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall, and McCracken counties. Our collections also include some information on the Kentucky counties of Caldwell, Christian, Livingston, and Trigg, as well as a few Tennessee counties geographically near western Kentucky, as the Jackson Purchase of 1819 also included what is now known as West Tennessee.
