Murray State University hosted the Fall Faculty Breakfast which was held at on Monday, August 15 in the CFSB Center. The Breakfast featured remarks from President Jackson, an overview of the Residential College system, and the awarding of the President's Cup for the academic unit with the highest participation percentage for gifts to the University.

Murray State hosted the annual Fall Faculty Summit on
Friday, August 16, 2019, in the Curris Center, and all individuals with teaching responsibilities were invited to attend. The theme was “2020 Vision for the Road Ahead,” and President Dr. Robert Jackson served as the keynote speaker.

Theme: Disruption in Higher Education Success

Murray State University hosted our Fall Faculty Summit on Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Curris Center, and all individuals with teaching responsibilities were invited to attend. The theme of the summit was Disruption in Higher Education, with keynote speaker, MSU's alumnus, Dr. Jay T. Akridge, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity at Purdue University.

We included evidence-based and research-based) sessions in the following areas:
  • Teaching and Learning (e.g., innovative approaches to teaching and learning, assessments, evaluation, high impact practices, course or program curriculum reform).
  • Leadership and Change (e.g., innovative practices and initiatives, individual and team support, power, and inclusivity).
  • Effective Technologies and Tools (e.g., to support pedagogical innovation, student engagement, accessibility, virtual reality, mixed/augmented reality).

Theme: Insights for Student Success

Murray State University hosted a one-day Fall Faculty Summit on Friday, August 11, 2017 in the Curris Center. This event was an extension of our traditional Faculty Back-to-School Breakfast and all faculty and staff who had teaching responsibilities were invited to attend.

Our students’ success is of paramount importance to us, so we organized a day that include keynote presentations, student and faculty panels, and concurrent sessions to provide us with insights about student success. A Meet​- the​- New​- Provost reception to meet the new Provost followed in the Clara Eagle Gallery on the 6th floor of the Fine Arts Building.
